Fruit and vegetable juice/beverage industry production grew 52.71% in China year-over-year

In April 2009, China's sugar production for the same period of last year showed growth. Some of the larger year-on-year increases in the industry: fruit and vegetable juice/beverage industry production grew 52.71%; frozen rice production in the food industry grew 20.99%; confectionery industry grew 20.44% yield.

With the exception of biscuits and carbonated drinks that displayed negative growth, other sugar production in the food industry has maintained growth. Fruit juice and vegetable juice drinks show the highest growth rate, an increase of a 33.29 percent. Quick-frozen rice and food frozen drinks have shown a total increase of 15.92% and 14.84%.

Great use of sugar comes from the vegetable juice and carbonated drinks industry, while the dairy production industry should also increase use of sugar. With summer approaching, sales of sugar will grow with the season. Ice cream and other beverage industries will show gradual increase in the demand for sugar. In addition, with various policies at the national support level, domestic consumer demand will gradually increase sugar production as demand for certain types of food will grow gradually.
